what are some basic golf tips?

Posted by admin on Mar-5-2010

im going to a practice range for the first time tommrow and was wondering like what each club and stuff is used for cuz i have a whole set of clubs balls shoe etc or what are some tips about my swing?

First of all, don’t rush your swing. Start slowly and try to send balls where you want. Your swing tempo will decide what kind of golfer you will become.
Second of all, instead of trying to crush the balls, try to hit them softly. You will get the feeling of hitting balls crisply, then you can start a little harder with bigger swing.

Bites Are AWESOME

I've been wearing Bite golf shoes for many years. Earlier styles were not the best looking shoe, but comfort was unsurpassed. The newer styled Aztec has it all; awesome comfort and most pleasing in appearance. Do yourself a favor, next time your looking for a comfortable golf shoe, BUY A PAIR OF BITES, YOU WON'T REGRET IT !!!!
Best on the Market

The lightest most comfortable golf shoe I ever owned. I weigh about 250 and have worn them for months, still going strong.
Great Golf Shoe - Comfortable and functions well.

Reviewer: Desmond Lee, nh,usa
Recently purchased this shoe for a steal (around $30) and found it to be a better golf shoe than what I've been currently wearing (Etonic Dri-x and Footjoy contour). Among the things I liked about this shoe:

1. First and most importantly, it fulfills the function of a golf shoe: to provide the golfer with a stable and comfortable platform to launch his swing. The cleats looks like the black widow cleats but much firmer and they really bite into the turf. This has really made a difference in my swing - being able to put my body weight into the swing without losing balance.
2. Perhaps the only gripe i haveabout the shoe was that my right foot hurt during the first 5 holes of my first round with these shoes (in part b/c i was wearing thicker socks than usual). It nevertheless broke in during the around and it has been the most comfortable shoe i've worn. I think in part b/c it is set up like a cross training shoe with ample form cushing in the heel and balls of the feet. I also love the lacing setup of this shoe - it keeps your feet firmly in place and doesn't loosen mid-round; not to mention the fact that you don't have to pull it in tight to have a secure fit.

*Do note that the leather they use is not the "smooth" kind you usually find - they use grained leather (i.e. you can feel and see the hexagonal bumps). It's definitely more rugged, although perhaps not as chic.
Golf Shoes - Sort of!!!

Not really what I expected. Should have spent more time reading the description. They leave my feet very wet after a round of golf. Next time I'll choose a brand I'm more familiar with...price influenced my decision...unfortunately.
Lost its tongue

Review Date: October 28, 2007
Reviewer: ghinhee,
Ordered the shoe on 6/25/07. The tongue on the right shoe came apart today which is 10/28/07. Poor sewing. Shoes were ok but only lasted 4 months. Played golf on Sundays for the duration and Thursdays till Sept. It is back to foot joys which last a lot longer than 4 months.

How do I correct my golf swing?

Posted by admin on Feb-26-2010

My takeaway is giving me problems. My club goes WAY inside on the takeaway, thus causing my downswing to be flat and away from the ball, causing me to make contact around the hosel. Is there any type of equipment that works to correct this problem? Or…maybe a golf tip that you know that could help? Thanks!

Yeah, i used to have the same problem. When you take it back, it feels natural to take it inside, but try to take it staright back, which to you will feel like talking it outside. Also, toe to the sky is a good takeaway tip. MAke sure the toe of the club is facing the sky. Hope it helps!
